Programs & Services

Our mission states that “Fearrington Cares provides services for the health and well being of the Fearrington community.” Our programs and services include those that enhance independent living, wellness, and quality of life.

Programs and Services fall broadly into six categories: nursing services; volunteer services; support groups; equipment loans; lectures, workshops and special events; and community partnerships.

Nursing

Our Nurse Manager, Joyce Baird, BSN RN, is responsible for providing skilled nursing care, case management, health education, and coordination with University programs and Chatham County health agencies. Other registered nurses and volunteer nurses supplement her work.
